Job summary

Amazing Athletes presents Little Medical School programs in Winter Park and seeks an Assistant Instructor to lead engaging science activities for preschool and elementary students after school.

This part-time role offers flexible scheduling around school, paid training, and opportunities for advancement. Starting pay is $20/hour during training, rising to $25/hour after certification, with pay up to $40/hour for strong performers.

Qualifications

• Available 2pm–4:30pm at least two afternoons per week Mon–Fri (additional morning hours available)
• Must enjoy working with children and creating a fun, positive learning environment
• Passion for science, medicine, education, or hands-on learning
• Comfortable leading small groups of preschool and/or elementary-age children
• Reliable, energetic, patient, and professional
• Must follow lesson plans and bring activities to life in an engaging way
• Must pass a DCF background check and meet all childcare/school clearance requirements
• Reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

• Lead morning programs with preschoolers and after-school classes with elementary-age students
• Deliver hands-on science activities and lessons
• Follow prepared lesson plans and adapt activities to engage kids
• Maintain a safe, positive learning environment for young students
