Job summary

Brightpoint invites you to join our team as a Children\'s Program Worker in the Parents Care & Share program. You will provide nurturing caregiving, supervision, and organized activities for children from birth to 17 years while their parents attend parenting support groups.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 1 year of experience with children, and the ability to physically engage with children. The position is part-time, hourly, with activities mainly in the Lawndale area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience with children is required.
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to physically interact with children (bending, stooping, walking, sitting and rising).

Responsibilities

• Check room for safety and address issues before each group starts.
• Provide attentive supervision and organized activities for children ages birth to 17 during Parents Care & Share groups.
• Provide primary care for infants through 2-year-olds depending on group.
• Facilitate structured activities during group time for ages 3-17, including social-emotional activities.
• Provide behavior management and redirect children as needed.
• Serve snacks to children as location and need require.
• Assist children with hand-washing and good hygiene.
• Foster a friendly and welcoming environment for parents and children.
