Job summary

Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction seeks a board-eligible or board-certified physician in internal, family, or emergency medicine to serve as Chief Medical Officer for the male population at Mansfield Correctional Institution. Part-time schedule; weekdays only; on-site care with collaborative team support.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, exams, report writing, testing, and medication management, with on-call duties as part of routine duties.

Qualifications

• Certificate to practice medicine in Ohio as issued by the State Medical Board.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine.
• Primary care physician for male inmate population at Mansfield Correctional Institution.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services to male inmates.
• Conduct exams and write evaluations/reports.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage medications.
• Provide clinical supervision of all providers and ensure adherence to policy.
• Participate in CQI meetings and on-call coverage as needed.
