The Hong Kong Study Skills Research Institute is seeking a Part Time Chemistry Lab Assistant for its Bowling Green location. This role is exclusive to current SKYCTC students and involves assisting faculty and students within chemistry laboratories.

Your responsibilities include preparing labs, maintaining equipment, and tutoring students on course material. Successful candidates will have completed college-level chemistry courses and possess strong communication skills. Flexible hours up to 20 per week, making this an excellent opportunity for SKYCTC students.

Job Summary

Assists chemistry faculty and students in chemistry laboratories.

NOTE: This position is only available to current SKYCTC students

Job Duties

• Assists chemistry faculty and students in chemistry laboratories.
• Prepares the lab for demonstrations and student practice.
• Maintains laboratory equipment, environment, and inventory, including cleaning, storing, and restocking supplies.
• Assists faculty with facilitation of laboratory activities and other class preparations, such as photocopying or grading, under close direction and review of the instructor of record while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Tutor students by assisting them with understanding course content, preparing for assessments, and developing learning skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Successful completion of college‑level chemistry courses.
• Must be proficient in both written and verbal communication including computer literacy.
