The instructor will develop syllabi, deliver lectures, maintain records, advise students, and participate in course assessment. A master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry (or related with 18 graduate hours) is required or expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry, or Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
• Teaching experience at the higher education level preferred.
• All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver undergraduate chemistry instruction, including developing syllabi, content, and assessments.
• Maintain and submit class records, including attendance and final grades for financial aid compliance
• Participate in student grade appeal procedures
• Observe college calendar and post conference hours
• Participate in assessment of student learning and reporting according to assessment plan
