Cypress College is seeking candidates to join a Chemistry Instructor Pool-Part-Time. This pool supports part-time and temporary teaching assignments in the Chemistry department, CC Science, Engineering, and Math at Cypress College. Applications will be reviewed as positions arise.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s in chemistry (or equivalent), and a relevant California teaching credential. Candidates must provide transcripts and may be contacted for interviews.

Qualifications

• Master’s in chemistry is required.
• Bachelor’s in chemistry or biochemistry is required.
• Master’s in biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical physics, physics, molecular biology or geochemistry is required.
• A valid California teaching credential for the community college is required.
• Equivalent qualifications may be considered as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

Responsibilities

• Duties and responsibilities are representative and may be modified by the District as needed.
• This is a pool for part-time, temporary faculty assignments at Cypress College.
• Applicants must meet minimum qualifications and provide official transcripts.

Education

Master’s in chemistry

Bachelor’s in chemistry or biochemistry

Master’s in biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical physics, physics, molecular biology or geochemistry

Valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area

Equivalent qualifications as determined by the District Equivalency Committee
