Job summary

Brazosport College in Lake Jackson, TX invites applications for an Adjunct - Chemistry Instructor (Pool). These part-time positions are filled as needed each semester and may be created year-round to support coursework in chemistry and labs.

Candidates will teach courses and labs using traditional and alternative delivery methods, collaborate with the Chemistry and Process Technology departments, and participate in evaluating laboratory curricula designed by senior faculty.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering or a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Chemistry.
• For labs, a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Teaches chemistry courses and labs using traditional and alternative delivery methods to help students master concepts.
• Reports to the Division Chair of Mathematics and Sciences and collaborates with Chemistry and Process Technology faculty.
• Designs and evaluates laboratory curricula and assessments with input from senior faculty.
• Demonstrates ability to work with a diverse student body across ages and backgrounds.
