Job summary

American Fork City is seeking a part-time Cheer Program Supervisor to guide youth cheer development for ages 8-15 and ensure a safe, well-run program. Plan and deliver age-appropriate instruction, help teams build confidence and readiness, and support performances.

You will lead sessions on practice nights, maintain safety and space, and communicate with parents and recreation staff to foster program growth and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong background in cheer and dance; ability to spot tumbling skills.
• Experience coaching ages 8-15; dependable, responsible, and enthusiastic.
• Clear leadership and communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead cheer, dance, and tumbling instruction; teach motions, jumps, flexibility, strength, and performance skills.
• Safely spot athletes and support tumbling progressions.
• Set team and individual skill goals, track participation, and prepare for performances.
• Maintain an organized practice space; follow program policies, safety procedures, and facility expectations.
• Communicate professionally with parents, athletes, and recreation staff; assist with recruiting and program growth.
