Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a part-time checker in Missouri to provide friendly customer service, correctly ring up purchases, and maintain accurate cash handling. The role requires knowledge of produce items, coupon processing, and accepting diverse payment methods.

You will ensure cashier accuracy, bag orders, and uphold cash security during shifts. Training is provided at store level; availability must cover early mornings to evenings (6am–10pm).

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or cashier role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Greet customers before checking their orders and check out purchases accurately.
• Identify produce items and use proper codes for produce and products.
• Distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons and process coupons correctly.
• Accept and process various payment methods (cash, checks, debit/credit, EBT, WIC).
• Collect correct amount due and ensure cashier accuracy.
• Maintain cash security and complete register records.
• Bag customer orders and manage receipt/coupon tapes.
