Job summary

Schnucks is hiring a part-time checker to deliver friendly service and accurate checkout at our store. Availability required from 6:00 am to 10:15 pm, with 25+ hours per week. Training will be provided at store level, and candidates must maintain reliable attendance.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, scanning items, processing various payment methods, handling coupons, and bagging orders. Physical tasks include standing for shifts and lifting up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to provide friendly, courteous customer service.
• Regular, reliable attendance is essential.
• Greet customers before checking out their order.
• Accurately process purchases and payments.
• Identify produce items and use product codes.
• Distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons.
• Process manufacturer coupons.
• Complete register records accurately.
• Practice and maintain cash security.
• Bag customer orders.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Greet customers prior to checking their order.
• Check out customer's purchases accurately.
• Identify and know produce items and be able to properly use produce and product codes.
• Distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons.
• Process manufacturer coupons.
• Collect correct amount due from customer.
• Use proper procedure of accepting cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, EBT cards, WIC vouchers and other payment options.
• Complete register record accurately.
• Practice and maintain cash security.
• Bag customer orders.
• Change register receipt and coupon machine tapes.
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management
