Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a part-time chaplain to deliver spiritual care to patients and families, provide consultation to staff, and participate in on-call rotations. The role emphasizes interfaith service, education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team across sites.

The ideal candidate holds a graduate theology degree with ACPE-CPE units, is eligible for board certification, and can work day hours with occasional night/weekend on-call coverage.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Delivers wholistic ministry of spiritual care for patients, families, team members and physicians.
• Responds to codes, emergencies and crises; assists families and promotes patient safety.
• Participates in the life and work of the department and site, including weekends and holidays.
• Participates in patient care planning, interdisciplinary teams, and educational activities; mentors students.
• Collaborates with the clinical pastoral education program and provides feedback on student performance.
• Supports and interprets the mission and values of Advocate Health; supports hospital ministry through referrals and education.
• Participates in educational initiatives and spiritual health education for patients, families, teams, and faith groups.
• Maintains ecclesiastical endorsement and active participation in faith community.
