Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, has a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) opening at Petersburg Healthcare Center in Petersburg, VA. The role focuses on helping residents improve function and independence, with in-house team support and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans with the OT, educating the rehab team and families, and maintaining thorough documentation as required by the department.

Qualifications

• COTA education from an accredited two-year program.
• Valid or pending State COTA license.

Responsibilities

• Help clients improve quality of life by compensating for limitations and improving motor skills.
• Teach independence through daily activities and mobility to residents.
• Implement treatment plans with the Occupational Therapist and educate staff and family.
• Ensure documentation meets rehab department requirements under supervision.
