Job summary

The City of Kettering is seeking a part-time Group Exercise Instructor to lead classes and help participants achieve wellness goals. You will plan one-hour sessions and ensure safety and engagement in a welcoming community setting.

The role requires a current nationally recognized Group Exercise certification; prior fitness-instructor experience is preferred. Expect on-site work with regular class scheduling and strict adherence to program guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude and enjoy working with people of all ages.
• Must have a current nationally recognized fitness certification in Group Exercise; experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a class period of one hour in length with exercises for all body parts.
• Include warm-up, toning, aerobics and cool-down in each lesson.
• Keeps up to date on music and latest exercise programs and fads.
• Attends workshops, meetings and other exercise classes.
• Maintains and submits all required paperwork for classes.
• Enforces all Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts guidelines.
• Regular and predictable on-site attendance required.
• Performs other related duties as required.
