Job summary

Kumon Math & Reading Center of Oakville is seeking a friendly part-time assistant to support daily classroom operations, grade student work, prepare worksheets, and ensure a welcoming learning environment.

You will help with front desk tasks, use Kumon Connect and iPad systems, and collaborate with teachers to inspire consistent attendance, independence, and confidence in students. Former Kumon students are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Enjoys working with children.
• Strong Math/Reading skills (high school level).
• Dependable, punctual, and maintains consistent attendance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Works well independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to learn, accept feedback, and grow.
• Organized, adaptable, and takes initiative.
• Comfortable using Kumon Connect and iPad systems.

Responsibilities

• Grade student classwork and homework accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare worksheets and classroom materials.
• Support students while encouraging independent learning using the Kumon Method.
• Help students develop positive study habits, focus, and confidence.
• Assist early learners with worksheets and classroom routines.
• Welcome students and families with friendly, professional customer service.
• Assist with homework exchange, attendance, and basic front desk duties.
• Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe learning environment.
• Use Kumon Connect, iPads, and other technology as part of daily center operations.
• Protect student confidentiality at all times.
• Perform additional classroom and administrative tasks as assigned.
