Wharton County Junior College (WCJC) is hiring a Part Time Continuing Education (CE) Instructor to teach English as a Second Language (ESL).

Salary: $30.00 - $60.00 hourly.

Job Type: Faculty Part Time (Job Number: 2603 F 013)

Location: WCJC Richmond and Bay City campuses, TX.

Campus and Pay

• Bay City Campus (Daytime) – Pay rate $60.00/hr.
• Richmond Campus (Evening) – Pay rate $30.00/hr.

General Description

The Part Time Continuing Education Instructor - ESL is responsible for creating and delivering effective lessons to help students acquire conversational English skills. The instructor ensures instruction meets the educational needs of all students and receives supervision from the appropriate supervisor. Instruction is offered during daytime, evenings, weekends, holidays, at various times and locations during the academic year, and at multiple campuses and off‑site locations.

Responsibilities

Tasked with creating and delivering lessons, ensuring instruction meets students’ educational needs, and working part‑time to accommodate departmental schedules.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 36 months of work experience teaching ESL courses to adults. A criminal background check is required.
