Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing seeks highly motivated applicants for the Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver) role in Atlanta. This part-time, on-call position moves box trucks up to 26’, with CDL Class B required and Class A preferred for tractors and trailers.

You will report to 345 Tradeport Blvd, Atlanta, and shifts run Wednesday to Friday from 12pm to 8pm. The job offers flexibility for CDL holders seeking supplemental income and a chance to work 0 to 25 hours weekly based on business needs.

Qualifications

• 2 years of driving experience.
• 2 years of a clean DMV record.
• Valid Class B CDL; domiciled in the U.S. and licensed.
• CDL Class A license preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Ability to work independently, with customer service and organizational skills.
• English language proficiency per federal requirements.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance.
• DOT drug screening and FMCSA Clearinghouse review.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures while driving to Penske locations or customer locations.
• Check vehicles for mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment; report issues.
• Obtain receipts or signatures and collect payment when required.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
