FS GRAIN operates 19 facilities with a combined storage capacity of 40 million bushels and access to multiple grain markets, including ownership of two Class I shuttle loaders. Purpose and Summary Statement

Under the direction of the Logistics Manager, the CDL Driver is responsible for the day‑to‑day execution of product transportation for FS Grain. This role involves safely operating trucks, completing scheduled deliveries and pickups, and ensuring the accurate and timely movement of grain to meet customer commitments and business objectives. The CDL Driver promotes safety and regulatory compliance, documents operations, and uncovers and resolves challenges to uphold integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Essential Job Functions

• Safety & Integrity: Operate all assigned vehicles (single, tandem, or multi‑axle) and equipment in accordance with company safety standards, DOT regulations, and proper vehicle operation techniques. Maintain accountability for safe work practices at all times.
• Safety & Professionalism: Perform and document daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections; follow preventative maintenance programs and keep the vehicle clean and organized to reflect a professional company image.
• Customer Focus & Professionalism: Ensure all deliveries and pickups are completed on schedule, offer reliable and courteous service, and represent the company positively in all interactions.
• Integrity & Attention to Detail: Accurately complete and return all required documentation, including bills of lading, delivery tickets, and invoices, ensuring timely processing and payment.
• Integrity & Accountability: Keep accurate daily records, logbooks, hours of service, and cargo documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Professionalism & Safety: Maintain company equipment according to established standards, adhere to the company Uniform Policy, and uphold a clean, professional appearance.
• Growth & Teamwork: Support team operations and contribute to continuous improvement by following processes, accepting feedback, and performing additional duties as assigned.

Education and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid CDL with required endorsements, a valid medical card, and a satisfactory driving record in accordance with company and DOT standards.
• Demonstrate core competencies aligned with company values, including communication, reliability, customer focus, decision‑making, and a commitment to safety and continuous growth.
• Ability to work extended hours as business conditions require.
• Availability to obtain and maintain all required certifications, licenses, and permits.
• Consent to FS GRAIN using in‑cab technology, including Samsara cameras, to promote safe driving, ensure compliance, and support continuous improvement through coaching and feedback.

Working Conditions

• Frequently exposed to extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.).
• Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures.
• May be required to work at varying heights.
• Ability to lift 51–70 lbs.
