Job summary

Regina Caeli Academy (RCA) seeks a part-time substitute teacher to support a classical, Catholic classroom in Charlotte, NC. Substitutes are called in as needed when staff are out sick and may decline if unavailable. No teaching certification required; training will be provided.

Applicants must sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a strong Catholic faith. RCA emphasizes structured, Socratic instruction and background checks for all staff.

Qualifications

• We welcome applicants without teaching certification or formal teaching experience.
• We will train you and provide everything you need to know.
• Experience with homeschooling, Catholic ministry, or private schools is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Teach in a classical, Catholic classroom up to 14 hours per week.
• Follow RCA curriculum and grading guidelines.
• Prepare for classes at home and teach on Mondays and Thursdays.
