Job summary

Chestnut Group is hiring a Cashier/Retail Sales Associate in New York for part-time, in-person work. You will operate the POS, assist customers, stock merchandise, and keep the store clean and organized.

Shifts include early morning, midday, night and overnight, with weekend/holiday coverage. You’ll handle cash and digital payments while delivering friendly, efficient service and supporting the retail team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as cashier or retail/customer service preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math and cash handling ability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail or convenience store environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service to all guests.
• Process transactions using a computerized POS system.
• Handle cash, credit, and digital payments accurately.
• Maintain clean and well-stocked retail and beverage areas.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and merchandise displays.
• Follow company procedures for food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation in food service areas.
• Support team members to ensure smooth store operations.
