Job summary

Chestnut Petroleum Dist., Inc is seeking a part-time Cashier / Retail Sales Associate at our Elmsford location to deliver excellent customer service while processing transactions quickly and accurately. The role supports daily store operations including operating the POS register, stocking merchandise, maintaining clean store areas, and assisting customers.

The position requires ability to stand for long periods, work various shifts including early morning and nights, and handle lifting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cashier, Retail Associate, or Customer Service Representative preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic math and cash handling ability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail or convenience store environment

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service to all guests
• Process transactions using a computerized POS system
• Handle cash, credit, and digital payments accurately
• Maintain clean and well-stocked retail and beverage areas
• Stock shelves, coolers, and merchandise displays
• Follow company procedures for food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation in food service areas
• Support team members to ensure smooth store operations
