Job summary

Goodwill Auburn is seeking a part-time cashier to operate cash registers, assist customers, and maintain stock on the sales floor. Position requires strong customer service skills, adherence to cash handling policies, and the ability to work as part of a team.

The role involves stocking shelves, answering inquiries, and ensuring a clean, safe store environment. A GED or high school diploma and 1–3 months of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months of related experience and/or training.
• Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills.
• Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and consensus.
• Ability to read and interpret data; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers and handle cash accurately.
• Maintain shelf stock and keep the sales floor refreshed as directed by management.
• Answer phone inquiries and assist customers with questions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-merchandised store environment.
• Provide excellent customer service and follow cash handling policies.
• Work with store team to meet and exceed store goals.
