Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a part-time cashier in Shreveport, LA. You will engage with customers, operate the cash register, weigh and scan items, and bag groceries. Maintain accuracy in tender and handle transactions with care in a fast-paced retail setting.

Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required. On-the-job training provided; must be at least 16 years old and meet local certification requirements where applicable.

Qualifications

• Basic cash register knowledge and operation.
• Familiarity with tender policies (checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, etc.).
• Basic math and counting skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly service at checkout.
• Accurately scan, weigh, and bag items; ensure correct totals.
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout area and handle refunds or exchanges as needed.
