Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Operate the cash register (POS system), handle cash, credit card transactions, and manage the cash drawer accurately
• Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and assist with product demos to engage customers
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store aisles
• Answer customer inquiries via phone with courteous phone etiquette and direct questions appropriately
• Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and participating in regular stock checks

Requirements

• Previous retail or grocery store experience is preferred, especially in cashiering or cashier operations
• Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customers effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems, retail math, and cash handling procedures is essential
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and register balancing
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor
• Supervising experience is advantageous for potential leadership opportunities within the team
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including evenings or weekends

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5.5 per week

Work Location: In person
