Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a part-time Cashier at Rivier University locations. You will handle cash and credit transactions, operate the cash register/POS, and support the retail operation with setup, supplies, and closing duties. This role requires reliability, accuracy, and good customer service in a fast paced environment.

Flexible afternoon/evening shifts and rotating weekends are available. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and 0–1 year of experience; alcohol-service certification

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 1 year related experience.
• If alcohol is served at the location, must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol, based on local city and state regulations.
• Depending on the location, may require a valid alcohol-service certification (TIPS, TEAM) and must comply with state training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register (or equivalent), receives payments of cash, checks, and charges from customers or employees for goods or services.
• Provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
• Maintains proper security of cash at all times.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time during a shift (may exceed 8 hours).
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts.
