Job summary

Dierbergs Markets, Inc. seeks a part-time Cashier to welcome customers, scan items, process payments, and ensure a great shopping experience. You’ll handle registers and self-checkout, verify IDs for restricted items, and help bag and load purchases with care.

Qualifications

• Basic computer and math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Prompt and regular attendance based on schedule.
• Adherence to our dress code, appearance and personal hygiene standards.
• May be cross trained in other departments.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and engage in friendly conversation.
• Scan items quickly and correctly.
• Operate the register or monitor self-checkout and accept various forms of payment.
• Verify ID for liquor and tobacco purchases according to state law.
• Bag items carefully and load into the customer’s cart.
