Job summary

Gerrity’s Ace Hardware is seeking a friendly cashier to handle register transactions and deliver excellent customer service at our Clarks Summit, PA store.

You will greet customers, answer questions, maintain product knowledge, and process transactions efficiently while promoting store promotions and policies.

This role requires flexible hours, accuracy, strong communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years cashier/customer service experience preferred
• High School or GED equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the business

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive representation of Gerrity’s Ace Hardware
• Greet customers entering and throughout the store and thank customers when possible, when they are leaving the store
• Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products
• Answer customers' questions and provide information on procedures and policies
• Clear customer checkout lines quickly and efficiently
• Follow all cash register transaction procedures
• Perform all other duties as assigned
