Job summary

OKAY Cannabis is seeking a friendly cashier/budtender to greet patients on the sales floor and at checkout, assist with orders, and complete sales with attention to detail.

You will maintain dispensary product knowledge, handle cash and card transactions, and ensure accurate receipts while upholding state regulations.

The role requires available hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, with strong customer service and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering excellent customer service in a retail or dispensary setting.
• Ability to operate POS software and process transactions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and manual cash handling accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients on sales floor or checkout and verify purchased.
• Maintain current knowledge of the dispensary flow and product.
• Complete cash or card sales at the register.
• Manage cash and card transactions, inventory, and drawer reconciliation.
• Process receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to patients.
• Answer phones, take messages, and direct calls appropriately.

• Assist with daily cash reconciliation.
• Keep the dispensary floor clean and sanitized.
• Follow state and federal regulations, including IDFPR guidance.

Job description

This position requires typical retail hours. Nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

The Cashier/Budtender Staff greets patients on the sales floor and/ or at checkout, assists with placing orders on the sales floor and at the register confirms products purchased, completes the sale via cash or card with an unambiguous attention to detail. The Agent is to provide excellent care and customer service for all patients and/or adult use customers.

Responsibilities:

Job Requirements

• Six months to one-year sales or POS experience
• Proficient in with technology
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must possess a valid license or state ID
• Must be available to work varied hours and/or days, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE

Physical Qualifications: Bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds by themselves and 75+ pounds with a buddy, ability to be on standing or sitting for long periods of time.
