Harris Teeter in Washington, DC area is looking for a part-time associate to take excellent care of our customers by meeting their needs and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.

Responsibilities include following bagging procedures, offering carryout and parcel pickup, loading merchandise into customer vehicles, returning shopping carts, and supporting the team to boost satisfaction and sales. Must be at least 16, complete training, and read/write in English.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
• Ability to present information to customers and associates who speak English.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
• Complete company training including new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, bagger technical skills, and product knowledge.

This is a part time position. Primary responsibility is to Take Excellent Care Of Our Customers by satisfying each customer's needs, exceeding their expectations, and making every shopping visit a pleasant and satisfying experience. Compensation

• Pay Transparency: Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $18.65/hour and $19.95/hour for this role as a newly hired associate. Pay may depend on previous experience and skill sets of the applicant.

You will be eligible for Harris Teeter's group benefit plans that pertain to your position upon the completion of applicable waiting periods. Your eligibility for these benefits is subject to the terms of the applicable plan and Harris Teeter policy.
