Job summary

Lacoste is seeking a Cashier to be the face of the brand in our Orlando store. You will engage customers, handle transactions, and help ensure a positive shopping experience for every guest.

Ideal candidates have retail experience and enjoy interacting with people. You will need basic computer and POS skills, be organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while protecting store assets.

Qualifications

  • Prior retail experience is required.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to customers to facilitate sales.
  • PC skills to include POS software and MS Word/Excel/Outlook.
  • Must be a team player, outgoing, well-organized and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proficient with numbers to ensure data accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Handle cash transactions accurately and manage the cash drawer.
  • Develop knowledge of store computer systems to ring transactions and check inventory.
  • Capture customer name and contact information for loyalty or marketing purposes.
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries and process merchandise orders.
  • Maintain a neat and organized cash wrap and monitor stock levels for reorders.
  • Assist with stocking, replenishment, and adherence to store visuals.

Summary:

As a Cashier at Lacoste, you will be the face of our brand, engaging with customers and ensuring they have a positive shopping experience. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about retail, enjoy interacting with people, and are keen to develop their sales and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the cash drawer of a primary store registerand processing both customer and associate transactions accurately. Ensure that management authorization isreceived as required. Close out cashdrawer at the end of the day. Organizeand reconcile media, prepare bank deposit, and EFT upload.
  • Develop an excellent working knowledge of store’s computersystems to ring transactions, look up merchandise availability, receive andtransfer merchandise, and perform all other necessary functions.
  • Capture customer name and address information for eachtransaction to compile clientele lists.
  • Answer telephones, respond to inquiries and take merchandiseorders. Distribute phone orders to salesassociates on a rotating basis.
  • Maintain cash wrap in a neat and organized manner. Keep track of supply levels and notifymanager when items need to be reordered
  • Develop a strong knowledge of Lacoste product to help locateitems for customers.
  • Protect store assets and inventory through an awareness ofloss prevention procedures. Report violations to the supervisor. Notify management of suspicious activity instock areas, on the selling floor, or by cleaning and guard services.
  • Assist with the implementation of the store’s visualdirectives, receipt of new merchandise, stocking and replenishment of theselling floor, and housekeeping.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a retail environment.
  • Must be able to provide prompt and courteous service tocustomers to help facilitate sales.
  • Computer skills to include a retail point-of-sale softwaresystem and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Individual must be a team player, outgoing, well-organizedand able to prioritize assigned tasks.
  • Must have excellent organization skills with the ability tomulti-task.
  • Able to perform a wide variety of tasks, often changingassignments on short notice.
  • Must be able to overcome obstacles and deal with customersin a fast-paced, high-volume and competitive environment.
  • Must be proficient working with numbers to ensurecorrectness of data produced.
