Job Overview:

St. Louis Park Cub at the West End is seeking a dedicated part-time cashier. Cashiers are responsible for front end checkout procedures, maintaining positive customer relations, and processing transactions efficiently. This role involves ongoing customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous, and accurate service.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates.
2. Perform product scanning and processing of customer orders accurately and efficiently.
3. Handle all forms of tender and coupons properly.
4. Manage voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges accurately.
5. Assist with customer questions or requests.
6. Maintain front end cleanliness and organization.

Job Requirements:

1. Operate equipment such as scanners, registers, approval machines, coupon machines, intercoms, calculators, etc.
2. Stand for long periods.
3. Possess basic reading, writing, and math skills.
4. Engage in ongoing customer interaction, providing prompt and courteous service.
5. Exercise good judgment when supervision is not immediately available.
6. Follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; communicate effectively.
7. Work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
8. Must be 16 years or older.

Physical Requirements:

1. Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
2. Walking on uneven ground.
3. Reaching, bending, turning, and repetitive motions.
