Michigan Fine Wine & Spirits LLC is looking for a Cashier to provide fast and friendly service to customers. You will process transactions and assist customers while having the opportunity to be trained in wine, spirits, and beer. Applicants should have a passion for customer service and some retail experience.

This role offers both part-time and full-time positions with a pay range of $15.37 - $21.52 hourly, and various benefits including health care plans and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• 1—3 years of work experience, 1+ year in a retail setting (preferred).
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.

Job description

About the Role

As a Cashier, you play an essential role in the customer service experience by providing customers with fast and friendly service. You will process transactions, answer questions, and ensure customers leave feeling positive about their visit. While both part‑time and full‑time positions generally focus on being a cashier, you may also be assigned as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate. Internally, you will be referred to Front End Team Member and report to the store management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification, payment handling, answering inquiries, promoting loyalty program, and bagging product.
• Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, building relationships, and informing about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment.
• Complete cross‑functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8—10 hours a day.
• Can safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
• Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly.
• May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions.

Pay and Schedule

Worker type: Regular. Pay range: $15.37 - $21.52 hourly.
