Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking a Carpentry Instructor to join the Continuing Education division on a part-time, hourly basis. The pool covers temporary assignments as needs arise, with classroom, distance learning, and shop instruction in Carpentry.

You will teach NCCER Carpentry courses, develop curriculum, ensure program compliance, and maintain equipment. Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree with 4 years related experience, or a high school diploma with 8 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in the discipline or higher, plus 4 years related industry experience.
• Or a high school diploma/GED with 8 years related work experience.
• Ability to plan instruction and meet course outcomes using approved syllabi.
• Experience with instructional technologies and diverse learning styles.

Responsibilities

• Teach NCCER Carpentry program courses.
• Develop NCCER Carpentry curriculum and course content.
• Assist in maintaining NCCER program compliance activities.
• Procure, maintain, inspect, and operate equipment and supplies for instruction.
