Job summary

Asbury Village is seeking compassionate aides to support residents in a warm senior living community. You will perform personal care tasks, assist with meals, and help maintain a safe, clean environment, guided by state regulations.

This part-time/PRN role offers flexible shifts (Evenings/Nights/As Needed) with pay ranging from $15.00 to $19.50 per hour, plus benefits such as PTO and an Employee Assistance Program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver license valid in Illinois; reliable transportation.
• Plan to obtain a healthcare certificate or be a student nurse first semester.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within one month.
• English literacy to follow instructions and document care.
• Empathy and experience with elderly care encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a professional, caring, and courteous manner per policy and Illinois rules.
• Follow care plan to maintain resident independence.
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks and activities of daily living.
• Help residents during meals and maintain clean, safe living areas.
• Transport and accompany residents to activities and dining areas.
• Remind residents to take medications as prescribed.
• Take vital signs and assist with simple tests as directed.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor promptly.
• Address problems and escalate to appropriate staff.
• Respond quickly to signals and emergencies.
• Complete documentation and notes per Village procedures.
