Job summary

A Helping Hand Home Care Services, LLC is seeking part-time caregivers to provide compassionate, in-home non-medical care for seniors in the Hanover area. Responsibilities include personal hygiene, mobility assistance, meal prep, errands, and transportation to appointments, with a focus on client safety and well-being.

Flexible shifts, paid training, and ongoing education are offered to support caregivers in delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and continuously learn new skills.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass Pennsylvania & FBI background checks.
• Ability to pass online competency exam or have CNA certification.
• Must be compassionate and supportive.
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care preferred (1 year).
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; caregiver experience welcome.
• Pride in delivering high quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as bathing, toileting, dressing, and eating.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication, assist clients with ambulation, and help with physical therapy exercises.
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Assist with planning and preparing meals.
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so.
• Provide local transportation to appointments/errands.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
• Report any changes in client’s condition/behavior and report any incidents/injuries.
