Job summary

Grand Living in Georgetown, TX is seeking a Health & Wellness Assistant (Part-Time, every other weekend) to provide compassionate care and support to residents. You will assist with activities of daily living, support wellness initiatives, and help with medication administration where licensed, in a luxury senior living setting.

You will work closely with nursing and hospitality teams to deliver a First Class Happiness experience and create meaningful connections with residents and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One or more years of ADL assistance experience preferred.
• CNA or CMA credentials are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, eating, grooming, hygiene, mobility, and toileting.
• Support residents per personalized care plans while promoting dignity and independence.
• Observe residents and report changes to the nursing team.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families in a warm, engaging atmosphere.
• Participate in community activities, wellness programs, dining experiences, and events.
• Collaborate with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality teams to deliver a great resident experience.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all services provided.

What You'll Do

As a Health & Wellness Assistant, you'll help create exceptional daily experiences for residents by providing compassionate care, supporting independence, and delivering personalized service through The Sterling Touch®. Whether assisting with activities of daily living, supporting wellness initiatives, helping with medication administration (where licensed), working in Luminations® (memory care), or simply being a trusted companion, you'll make a meaningful difference every day.

In this role, you will:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, eating, grooming, personal hygiene, mobility, communication, and toileting
• Support residents in accordance with their personalized care plans while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being
• Observe residents and communicate changes or concerns to the nursing team
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families while creating a warm, engaging atmosphere
• Participate in community activities, wellness programs, dining experiences, and special events
• Work collaboratively with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality teams to deliver an exceptional resident experience
• Ensure exceptional documentation is submitted for all services provided or declined
• Deliver care that is professional, respectful, timely and personalized
• Help create an environment where every resident feels valued and cared for

What You Bring

We're looking for individuals who are passionate about service, hospitality, and senior care.

Preferred qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• One or more years of experience providing assistance with activities of daily living, highly preferred
• One or more years of experience working with seniors, highly preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and/or Certified Medication Aide (CMA) credentials, preferred
• Experience with caring for seniors will be considered in lieu of licensure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude and genuine desire to enhance the lives of others
• Ability to read, write, and understand English in order to communicate effectively with residents, guests, supervisors, and team members
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull, and remain active throughout the shift
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
