Visiting Angels Northeast Mississippi is seeking a Part Time Caregiver to support seniors in Tupelo and surrounding areas, including Batesville. You will provide compassionate in-home care, assist with mobility, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and meal preparation.

We offer advanced training in dementia/Alzheimer’s care, flexible shifts (8, 10, 12 hours; PRN; on-call). Benefits include PTO, weekly pay, direct deposit, and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have valid Driver's License.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Ability to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Strong ethics and compassionate nature.
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilités

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients' input.
• Shop for clients or accompany them shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.

Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Caregiver Requirements

• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
