Job summary

New York Medical College is seeking a part-time digital content creator to develop, film and edit engaging videos that showcase NYMC’s people, programs and experiences. The role focuses on TikTok, Reels and other platforms, with on-campus work in Valhalla, NY and occasional evenings/weekends.

You will collaborate with Public Relations to identify stories and content opportunities, plan and edit videos, and monitor trends.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; pursuing or completed college program preferred.
Proficiency in CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva or similar tools.
Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram and other platforms and trends.
Experience creating social content for higher ed or similar audience is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop concepts and produce short-form videos for TikTok, Reels, Shorts.
Capture student life, programs, events, research and faculty expertise.
Collaborate with Public Relations to identify stories and content opportunities.
Plan, film and edit videos, including student, faculty and alumni interviews.
Monitor trends and integrate best practices into NYMC's strategy.
Create captions, graphics and on-screen text to enhance storytelling.
Prepare content for publication following brand policies.
Assist in analyzing engagement and audience growth for improvement.
Ensure content follows branding, accessibility, privacy and copyright rules.
Maintain and organize video assets for future use.
Support communications initiatives with campus partners.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
