Job summary

BibliU is seeking a friendly Cashier to join our campus store team at Blue Ridge Community College, Transylvania Center in Brevard, NC. You will handle transactions, assist customers, stock shelves, and support inventory and merchandising in a fast-paced environment.

This part-time, temporary role offers on-the-job training, a collaborative team, and a chance to contribute to a growing edtech company that serves universities and students nationwide.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or cashier roles is helpful but not required.
• Friendly, reliable, and customer-focused.
• Comfortable handling transactions and basic stockroom tasks.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in-store and over the phone with professionalism.
• Operate the cash register accurately in line with store policies.
• Maintain clean, organized displays and well-presented shelves.
• Check in, price and display supplies and general merchandise.
• Participate in inventory counts and track stock levels.
• Record price changes and promotions accurately.
• Notify staff about out-of-stock or defective items.
• Follow up on special orders and inform customers of arrivals.
• Support supervisor with marketing feedback and store needs.
