Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for an Aston, PA campus. You will patrol buildings and grounds, deter incidents, assist students and staff, and maintain a visible presence to ensure safety and security on site.

The role emphasizes customer service, adherence to campus policies, and timely reporting of incidents. Flexible evening/night shifts are available, with a focus on safeguarding the campus environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, residence areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor access points and campus activity, assist with visitor directions and escorts as assigned, and report unauthorized access or concerning behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and maintenance-related reports, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and designated campus contacts.
