Job summary

Wilkes University invites applications for the part-time Public Safety Officer to provide security for all university properties, conduct patrols, and respond to campus needs.

The ideal candidate will have PA Act 235 certification within 3 months of hire, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, CPR/AED eligibility within 6 months, 1–3 years of related experience, and basic computer and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Act 235 certification in Pennsylvania within 3 months of hire.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A valid Driver's License.
• Eligible for CPR / AED Certification within 6 months of hire.
• One to three years of credible experience in a similar position or work environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Professional oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols to secure university properties.
• Provide customer service responses to the university community.
• Enforce all parking regulations across campus parking lots.
• Provide escorts (walking or vehicle) within campus vicinity.
