Cherokee County School District - GA is seeking a School Nutrition position to prepare, cook, and serve nutritionally adequate meals to students, staff, and visitors. The role involves following recipes, adhering to health codes, and serving on the line in a 183-day year, salaried non-exempt arrangement.
The candidate should have a standard high school diploma or HSE, with food service experience preferred. Training such as ONE course is required within the first year.
Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of state approved High School Equivalency (HSE) Testing Program. Food service experience preferred, but not mandatory. Completion of Orientation for Nutrition Employees (ONE) course within first year of employment. Ability to read and follow recipes and understand and follow directions. Must possess or be willing to learn skills needed to operate food preparation equipment and perform necessary cleaning.
Prepares, cooks, and serves nutritionally adequate meals to students, staff and visitors in an efficient and courteous manner in accordance with accepted food service procedures and Health Department requirements; adheres to all meal accountability procedures including cashiering.
