Job summary

The Bald Eagle Area School District is seeking a part-time cafeteria employee to support daily meal service at the middle/high school. The position runs 7:15am to 1:15pm with a starting rate of $15.00 per hour, five days per week on a school calendar schedule.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, basic reading and writing ability, and strong teamwork and communication skills to interact with students and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Part-Time (5.75 hours/day) Middle/High School Cafeteria Vacancy. Work Hours: 7:15am to 1:15pm

Starting Rate: $15.00 an hour

Ability to work in a friendly manner with co-workers and students. Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

The employee has a greater than average risk of getting a minor injury such as a cut or burn while performing the duties of this job.
