Pret A Manger is hiring a Team Member in Washington, DC. You will be the smiling face on the shop floor, preparing freshly made foods and beverages to Pret standards, delivering great guest service and working as part of a lively team.

No experience required—learn on the job. You’ll handle food prep, customer orders, and maintain safe, clean workspaces while helping to create a welcoming shop environment for guests and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• Experience in guest service is welcome but not required.
• Strong teamwork and communication in a fast-paced shop.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds may be needed.
• Comfort with food safety rules and kept cleanliness throughout shifts.
• Willingness to learn Pret recipes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Make handmade sandwiches, salads, baguettes and other items with fresh ingredients.
• Keep display cases full and appealing for guests.
• Prepare hot foods and barista drinks per Pret standards and speed targets.
• Greet guests, take orders and provide attentive service.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow health and safety rules.
• Set up and maintain equipment like coffee machines and hot food appliances.
