Job summary

Peralta Community College District is seeking qualified Part-Time Faculty to provide high-quality instruction and student support in alignment with our mission of advancing equity and student success. Assignments are made on an as-needed basis and may include day, evening, weekend, online, or hybrid classes at any of the District’s colleges.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in business or related fields or a combination of degrees as specified by Title 5 regulations.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher as specified by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office minimum qualifications.
  • Equivalency may be considered with proper documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses in accordance with approved outlines and student learning outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver effective, student-centered instruction using evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and maintain course syllabi, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.
  • Evaluate student performance timely and equitably; maintain accurate academic records.
  • Submit grades and reports by deadlines.
  • Create an inclusive, respectful learning environment for diverse students.
  • Maintain regular communication with students and respond to inquiries.
  • Utilize the District’s learning management system and other instructional technologies.
  • Comply with District policies and applicable regulations.
  • Participate in department meetings, professional development, and other college activities for part-time faculty.

Education

Master’s degree in business, business management, business administration, accountancy, finance, marketing or business education
