Job summary

Francis Construction Group, LLC is seeking a Part-Time Business Development & Social Media Assistant to help identify opportunities, nurture client relationships, and strengthen our online presence from our Chicago base.

Responsibilities include researching prospective clients, managing LinkedIn/Instagram/Facebook content, coordinating with project staff for updates, and supporting marketing materials and bid readiness. Flexible 15–20 hours weekly, on-site in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Professional and confident when communicating by telephone and email.
• Organized, dependable, and consistent with follow-up.
• Comfortable conducting online research and identifying decision-makers.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Canva, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
• Ability to manage multiple leads, deadlines, and follow-up activities.
• Prior experience in business development, sales support, marketing, social media, or administrative support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective clients, developers, general contractors, architects, property owners, and community organizations.
• Identify upcoming construction projects, bid opportunities, networking events, and potential partnerships.
• Contact prospective clients by email and telephone to introduce the company and its services.
• Follow up with leads and business contacts to maintain relationships.
• Maintain a lead tracker and document communications, follow-up dates, and next steps.
• Schedule introductory calls and meetings for company leadership.
• Assist with prequalification packages, capability statements, marketing materials, and requests for information.
• Monitor bid platforms and opportunities that align with the company’s services.
• Help maintain relationships with existing clients and contacts.
• Manage the company’s LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook accounts and content calendar.
