Job summary

Kettering City School District Transportation in Ohio seeks a Bus Aide to help transport students safely to and from school, field trips, and activities. You will assist with loading and unloading, monitor the bus environment, and ensure students' safety.

This part-time, on-site role in the Transportation department requires a High School Diploma or GED, health clearance, and successful background check and drug screening. Immediate start for the 2025-26 school year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Meets all mandated health requirements.
• Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• To take precautions to ensure students safety.
• To maintain a safe environment by inspecting harnesses, restraints, and other safety devices on the bus.
• To immediately correct or report unsafe conditions and/or defective equipment.
• To help with bus loading and unloading procedures.
• Operates wheelchair lifts, assure wheelchairs are properly secured and assist students with mobility needs.
