Proper Brands in Festus, MO is seeking a Part-Time Budtender (Cannabis Patient Care Specialist) to join our team. This role focuses on delivering an exceptional patient experience, educating customers on products, and maintaining compliance with state laws during busy retail hours.

The position is 20–29 hours per week, with weekends and possible evening shifts. Compensation starts at $15/hour plus tips; prior retail experience and a passion for medical cannabis are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years in retail and guest services.
• Passion for medical cannabis.
• Ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Customer service oriented and team centered with a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to understand medicinal implications and effects of strains.

Responsibilities

• Delivers an exceptional patient/customer experience including, but not limited to: creating a positive, memorable experience for every Proper Cannabis patient/customer; ensuring safety and satisfaction; maintaining knowledge of dispensary products; educating patients on products to meet desired outcomes; tailoring recommendations to patient needs in compliance with state law; answering questions; eliciting feedback to customize recommendations; serving as a brand ambassador.
• Processes dispensary sales efficiently and accurately: entering sales orders into POS; maintaining cash count; processing payments and dispensing change; updating sales and inventory records.
• Completes administrative duties: attending team meetings; collaborating during peak periods; performing side jobs; maintaining dispensary cleanliness; upholding professional relationships.
