Job summary

Gordon Food Service is hiring a delivery driver in Humble, TX to accurately locate and deliver customer orders, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient service. You will acquire products from vendors and deliver to the correct store location, while maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of delivery driving experience and one year in customer service or a related field, be 18+, possess an unrestricted license, and be able to pass pre-employment drug

Safeguards company funds and follows banking policies.* Collaborates with store and sales management to communicate and resolve concerns.* Completes check-ins in a timely manner.* Performs daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicle and equipment.* Manages paperwork in order to complete customer pick-ups or credits.* Performs equipment checks and reports mechanical issues and damages. Maintains cleanliness and ensures completion of routine maintenance of delivery vehicle.* Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer purchases through the point of sale. Ensure security of assets including cash, checks, and merchandise by following policies and procedures.* Accurately receive and merchandise products, ensuring proper rotation and product quality, end cap and planogram execution, top stock, freezer, cooler and backroom organization.* Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.* Performs other duties as assigned.* At least 1 year previous delivery driving experience and one year in customer service or related field preferred.* Unrestricted Standard Operators License required.* Must have a clean driving record (no drug or alcohol offenses in the last 3 years).* You must be a minimum of 18 years old (**required**).* Successfully **pass our pre-employment checks**, including a **drug screen,****criminal background check**and**motor vehicle report (MVR).*** Must be able to use a two-wheel cart with a load weighing up to 350 pounds.* Able to lift up to **7****0 lbs.**For more than 125 years, Gordon Food Service has delivered uncompromised quality and heartfelt service.
