Job summary

Barnes & Noble in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Bookseller (part-time) to welcome customers, answer questions, and connect readers with the right titles. You’ll help unpack deliveries, shelve items, and keep displays attractive while working the register and supporting store operations.

You’ll develop book knowledge across fiction, nonfiction and children’s books, use BookMaster and information tools, and assist with merchandising, gifting, and café support.

Qualifications

• Greet customers warmly and help them find titles and products.
• Maintain attractive book presentation and store displays.
• Operate registers and assist with checkout in a quick, friendly manner.
• Unpack deliveries and shelve items accurately and promptly.
• Develop knowledge across fiction, nonfiction, and children’s titles.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and answer questions to connect readers with the right titles.
• Unpack deliveries, shelve stock, and tidy displays for a neat store.
• Master store operations including registers, tablets, and inventory tools.
• Support merchandising and visual presentation of gift, toys, and other sections.
• Assist cafe team when needed and follow loss prevention procedures.
