LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Courier to join our Mobile, AL team. The role involves transporting blood and blood products to clients and LifeSouth branches, preparing items for shipment, and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials.

Shifts include Monday–Friday 3:30pm–8:00pm and weekends 10:00am–7:30pm, with some night, weekend, and on-call hours required. The role requires a valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license; must meet LifeSouth driver eligibility requirements.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule including some nights, weekends, and on-call hours.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, proportions and percentages.

Responsabilités

• Inspect delivery vehicle daily for supplies, cleanliness, and safe operating condition in compliance with state and local laws.
• Package and deliver blood products to service area clients or other transportation agencies.
• Collect blood products from mobile drawing sites or area clients and deliver to the laboratory.
• Run errands, deliver documents, pick up supplies and transport small items for repair.
• Load/unload and deliver materials to/from the branch and customers.
• Operate a hand truck to move shipments.
